Once upon the Ink

Oh, to find an Idea

About those words…

Welcome to my blog space. Where I will bring you into my world of words. It’s a confusing place and often a bit crowded with adverbs and adjectives, but it’s as real as I can be. I won’t promise to post every day. Not even every other. Words don’t always come easy.

I started this blog posting about my book writing adventures on the Bookmaker series, and my daily wrestle with sentences. But after I got tired of things like marketing and compartmentalization and keeping my deepest thoughts private, I started writing out my heart. I’m exploring it one nook at a time with the Being who inhabits it and calls me their own. I’m exploring that Being’s heart too – whether you call that person God or Jesus or Love. That’s what you’ll find here – to the best of my ability.

I study the two of them, heads bent together, speaking in hushed tones as if…

Attention

(Being a witness) – an exercise in personification. Witness slid its bum over and bumped my shoulder with its own again today. Ever since I accidentally made eye-contact with it a week ago or so, it won’t leave me alone. It keeps sidling over, interrupting my meditation, distracting me from the important job of training…
